Denver colorado a citizen initiative to require the roofs of large buildings to be green or a combination of solar panels and green initiated ordinance 300 was on the ballot for denver voters in denver county colorado on november 7 2017. Licensed roofing contractors will need to obtain licenses in lawn irrigation and green roof installation to build green roofs. Initiative 300 i 300 commonly referred to as the green roof initiative has been in effect since january 1st 2018.
